Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

posession of gun

My cousing was cought by the cops with two guns in his house one of them was a air gun and the other one was a cut off shottie and nuckles. They found one under his bed and the other one in his closet. He has no registratio of this guns and he is clean no record, he is not gang related. He just turned 21 and uses those guns only to go hunting and to shoot in range with his dad. The reason this cops go inside his house is because there was a shooting around his house and they were searching houses around the block.

Re: posession of gun

And your question is??

An airgun is not illegal. He faces potential federal and state charges on a "sawed off shotgun", if I understand your slang, and charges for possession of brass knuckles. He'd better hire an attorney; such felonies carry substantial prison time if he is convicted. Have him contact me if serious about getting counsel.
