I am sure everyone has told you the same thing. The mistake in your middle name does not invalidate your citation. It does not give the court reason to dismiss the citation.
You should hire an attorney to review the facts behind the arrest and what led up to the initial contact between you and the officer(s). The price of hiring the attorney is a lot less expensive than what a drug conviction can cost you in the future. Good luck

In my practice, my office attempts to get cases like yours dismissed. You should seek an attorney with our experience to attempt to do the same. Find a lawyer in or near your area. You do not want a drug conviction on your record. The mere fact that there is a different middle name on the citation does not effect the case by itself. If you want to discuss the caes with us you may contact me thru my website at www.wallinlaw.com. David Wallin

How is it that there was police contact? Perhaps the evidence can be excluded. In any event I have been successful in recucint these offenses to disturbing the peace infractions. Contact me directly.
Re: Posession of Marijuana Court messed up my name
Get rid of? By going to court and defending it with whatever evidence and facts you have, making any appropriate motions if there are grounds to do so, or taking it to trial if you can't get a 'deal' acceptable to you, whatever that means to you. A simple mistake in your name is not grounds to 'get rid of' this. The circumstances of the arrest may. If this is in SoCal, and you're serious about getting legal counsel, feel free to contact me.
Re: Posession of Marijuana Court messed up my name
The incorrect middle name does not invalidate your citation and is not grounds for dismissal. You may be able to beat the charges, but this minor error is not going to help you do it.
Re: Posession of Marijuana Court messed up my name
You should do what everyone in similar situation should do - retain a lawyer to get rid of it. You do not want to have any marijuana convictions on your record period.
Feel free to contact my office if interested in being represented.
