Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
does a possession ticket show up on a finger printing check
I am fingerprinted for work reasons and need to know if the recent ticket for possession in California for under and ounce of marajuana will show on my record? If so, is there a way to write it off like drug school? I Was not driving, and stopped at a check point, driver not ticketed. Please help me, I cant find the category to look it up in the law library. Thanks Cali

Re: does a possession ticket show up on a finger printing check
Not a 'fingerprint check', but a 'background check' is being done on you, with fingerprints being a part of what is checked. The ticket itself won't, but conviction by plea or bail will show up. If you were convicted, and have served your entire sentence and probation, then you can seek to get it expunged. Contact me if interested in discussing the facts and costs to do so.
