Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

No prior record/Assault with a deadly weapon

Hello. I am in the Navy and have no prior convictions. I am being charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon for -allegedly- throwing a glass at a bouncer in a club while my brother was being held down. I was intoxicated during this and am hoping to go to an alcohol treatment center within the Navy. No one was hurt, and I do not have any recollection of throwing a glass. My boyfriend says he never saw me do this either. What is likely to happen? Is there a chance the felony will be dropped or dismissed altogether? What basis is there for them to charge me with a felony if no one was hurt?

The DA didn't file charges just to drop them 'because'. Get an attorney unless you want to end up in prison with a record. The attorney may be able to negotiate a reasonable 'deal' for you, depending on the actual facts, evidence, history, etc. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting the legal help you'll need, if the case is in SoCal courts.
