Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
PROGRAM TERMINATION AS TO WEEKENDS/COPY TO PROBATION FILED.
Can you tell me what that court record entry means?
My husband of 3 years was convicted of a B&P code felony back in 2005. He plead guilty because he could not afford the attorney fees. He paid $10,000 in restitution and fines and received formal probation for 3 years. He complied with all conditions of probation except for one: 120 days county jail time to be served on weekends. There was some confusion because his attorney told him that what he had already served should suffice and that he would "work it out."
In 2008, his probation was due to end. The court record shows that a VOP was filed. My husband did not appear because he did not receive any notice. He had gone through a divorce, change of employment, change of address, open-heart surgery, and then marriage to myself. A bench warrant was issued, and 5 days ago two men came to our door and arrested him on $25,000 bail.
I bailed him out. He received no release papers. We have no record of who arrested him. His arraignment is now on 8/2/10.
Could you please advise. I do not want him to appear without good representation. The court is in Riverside County.
Thank you.

It means his probation was revoked [terminated], and the Probation Dept notified so they can pursue the formal 'violation' charge. That puts him back in court to face the PV with potential return to jail or prison on the original sentencing he pled to. If serious about hiring him counsel, feel free to contact me.
He needs to have probation reinstated. Contact me directly.
