my public defender on a probation violation case ignored my numerous requests to take the case in front of the judge, bullied and intimidated me into taking plea, lied about a court date, and dint file a motion to withdraw my plea with a months' notice. also, a private attorney i hired, we signed papers saying he would withdraw my plea, never did anything and now won't return my calls or messages. He also had more than a months' notice to withdraw the plea. is there anything i can do?

Yes.

If you now want to hire private counsel to substitute in and take over your defense and represent in in court, you can consult with an experienced criminal defense attorney, like one of us here on this panel, to discuss the procedures and the legal fees involved in taking over your case. No one here or elsewhere is going to give you useful 'legal advice' or train you in representing yourself in court through 'hints and tips'.

Otherwise, you should direct any valid complaints to the office of the Public Defender in writing and request help.

Failing that, you should seek to put your case back on calendar and tell your claims and requests to the judge.
