If you have committed a crime in the US, you can be charged. Otherwise, why would you think you would 'pick up charges'?

Violating the terms of your Swedish probation is not a crime in the United States. But if the U.S. (or a state government) finds out about it -- which is more likely than you might think -- it may very well arrest you and ask the Swedish government what it wants. If the Swedes ask for your extradition, the American authorities will cooperate.
