Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

quick question...

is it illegal to buy prescribed pills on the street? and how would i go about it if officer selling to me and i get popped for it.?

Prescribed pills? If you've got a prescription for the pills someone is selling you, seems to me the seller is the one violating the law. Of course you would be the one forking out for a lawyer.
