Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

At my readiness conference I was denied 30 days so that I can get a paid lawyer what can I do I don't want my public defender to represent me enylonger I need help

What can you do?

Hire an attorney and they will substitute out the PD.

You can hire an attorney at any time but there is no guarantee that the court will continue the case to give the attorney time to become familiar with the case and prepare for trial.
