Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Receipt of illegal gifts and/or gratuities
Father charged with receiving illegal gifts/gratuities from government contract supply sources. He was an aircraft maintenance engineer working for the U.S. Air Force at an air base in California. This happened in the 1950's-early 1960's. He died in 1964. Evidently was also involved in a possible related gambling ring. Was either given a fine, sentance, or offered parole. Am seeking documentation of these proceedings. Please advise how to obtain more information. Would the ''freedom of information act'' be helpful, or do I need to start at the air base where he was employed? Will the Air Force release such information, especially since this happened so long ago, and since he is deceased? We, his family, have found recent information in personal belongings, but it is inconclusive. Thank you for your help.

FOIA request to each agency involved should get the documents. If you want legal help doing so, contact me.
