how can i get my record expunged? i was convicted and served a 2 yr sentence in prison for auto theft was placed in probation in 1997 for 3yrs and discharged with no other incidents during my probation and since then i havent had any problems with the law...

Convictions can sometimes be 'expunged', but only if there was no prison time served or even sentenced. You don't qualify.
