removing a conviction from records
how long before a fwelony conviction can be taken off the records?

If it is eligible for expungement, no prison time sentenced, not for domestic violence or some other similar charges, probation successfully completed, no subsequent convictions, then you may petition the court for retroactive reduction to misdemeanor and petition the court for expungment. IF granted, you can then say 'no' to conviction on most private employment applications. Expungement does not restore firearms or other rights. A separate motion would be required for that.
