Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Requesting expungement

I have just finished 36 months of probation after pleading no contest to a Grand Theft Charge under 487(b)(3)PC. I also served 60 days of a 90 sentence in county Jail. Can I petition the court under 1203.4 to have this changed to a Not Guilty Plea and then have it expunged?

Do I need to have my attorney do this for me or can I do it myself?

Re: Requesting expungement

Expungement is probably available as long as you didn't serve prison time, and have now completed ALL terms of probation. Contact me if interested in getting this done.

After completing probation you should be able to get this expunged by contacting the probation department. For a small fee the probation department will prepare the required paperwork and submit it to the judge.
