restitution

I was a victim in a drunk driving accident. The defendant was ordered to pay me 10,952.00 since 8/07. Hasnt made one payment. I've talked to her PO and he said there is nothing he can do what can I do? Can i talk to a judge for a hearing

The restitution order is like a civil judgment, and you can enforce it by levying on the defendant's assets (if she has any). You don't need to go to court in order to do this. If the defendant has insufficient assets with which to pay the judgment, you can attach her wages. You may want to hire a collections lawyer to help you with this rather technical process.

If the defendant has neither assets nor wages, there is probably nothing else you can do except wait and hope her situation improves.
