Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

How do I get my rights back?

Back in 1998 I pled no contest to misdeminor spouse abuse (pc 243 e). I have finished my probation, paid all fines, attended all classes. as of Jan,02 it has been expunged from my record. I would like to know what I have to do to get back my right to own a firearm. I have always been an avid sport shooter but have not been able to since this. I was told in court that the expungement did not include the firearms portion of this matter. I have done my own paperwork for court but I dont know where to start or what to file. Please help me!

If you did not obtain restoration of firearms rights at the time of expungement, you will need to have an attorney prepare and file a motion for that. Call if interested in hiring an attorney that is also a shooter. 714-960-7584
