NEVER..NO...DO NOT TALK TO HIM...I hope that answers your question. Whenever you or a loved one is suspected of ANY crime, they should hire a criminal defense attorney IMMEDIATELY..I have handled hundreds of cases BEFORE a case is filed, and been able to assist my clients , and in many cases, had the charges NOT filed. You may contact me at 661-2671313 if you want further feedback.. I look forward to speaking with you...David Wallin
You'd be quite foolish if you do.
The ONLY specific advice you should expect to get from here or elsewhere is to exercise your 5th Amendment rights to SHUT UP, hire an attorney, and do NOT talk to anyone except your attorney about the case. With ANY crime being investigated, you potentially face charges that could put in jail/prison. Most police and prosecutors will happily tell you that 95% of people convict themselves by trying to be 'helpful and cooperative'. Unless you know how to effectively represent yourself in court against a professional prosecutor intending to convict you, hire an attorney who does. If this is in SoCAL courts, and if youre serious about hiring counsel, feel free to contact me.
You may want to speak to an attorney. When a detective leaves a card and asks you to call him, there are two reasons he wants to speak to you. You are either a witness to something someone else did, or he thinks you may have committed a crime. You want to be careful not to incriminate yourself, if the suspicion is on you.
