There is no such section as listed. There is a Penal code 653 series that includes many various subsections on prostitution, loitering, etc.

Hi---You are probably referring to Penal Code 653 subsection (M) which is a section prohibiting annoying or threatening phone calls. Do you need help with this in Court? If so, email me back to discuss further. Attorney Woodworth
Re: what is Section P653-MA
Mr. Woodworth may be correct. You're giving us a bit of a challenge with such little information. It could also be Cal Pen Code 653 (2003), which states:
 653. Tattooing or offering to tattoo person under age of eighteen
Every person who tattoos or offers to tattoo a person under the age of 18 years is guilty of a misdemeanor.
As used in this section, to "tattoo" means to insert pigment under the surface of the skin of a human being, by pricking with a needle or otherwise, so as to produce an indelible mark or figure visible through the skin.
This section is not intended to apply to any act of a licensed practitioner of the healing arts performed in the course of his practice.
Give us a little more info-- like what jurisdiction we're in (California? Federal?) and what facts might form the basis of the charge. Was there a telephone involved? Solicitation for prostitution? Tatooing??
A misdemeanor is, by definition, only punishable by one year or less in the county jail, and/or a fine.
Good luck,
