Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
sex with a minor with consent
My husband was convicted of sex with a minor with consent over 20 years ago. Now our children are being torrmented by the online registry. Is there any way to be removed from the online portion of registering?

Re: sex with a minor with consent
Only by going back to the issuing court on a motion for relief and removal from the registry, then an application to DOJ and CA to try to get them to update and change the records. You'll have to have good legal and factual support for the Motion, sufficient to convince a judge to do so in 'the interests of justice'. You'd better get experienced counsel to do this, to have any chance at success. If you're serious about this, and the court is in SoCAL, feel free to contact me to discuss the basis and costs.
