Sexual assault on minor
My husband is being charged with touching a minor inappropriatly but it turns out it was a lie! The little girl told the truth to a detective, what can happen to my husband?

While the truth should be able to prevail, I would think the problem at this point is whether the detectives and the prosecution believe what the minor had said, especially if the minor's statements are inconsistent. Regardless, these kinds of cases are most serious and they never go away easily as prosecution will often pursue them relentlessly regardless of what the truth might be. Potentially, consequences to your husband can be very serious including lifetime requirement to register as a sex offender and be listed on Megan Law's website for all the world to see.
You need to get a good lawyer involved and take charge of this case rather than speculate what can happen immediately.

These are hard fought cases, which require a lot of attention from your attorney. Your husband is facing serious charges that, if convicted, could have serious repercussions for the rest of his life.
Hire a lawyer if you haven�t already.

Prison and registered sex offender status if convicted. I suggest he get an attorney, and say nothing to police. If the victim had actually recanted, then no charges would have been brought.
