What is sexual battery? What is the difference between sexual battery and sexual assault, if any?

The assualt is normally a verbal threat with an immediate ability to complete the action threatened. The battery is the actual physical touching. This is the law school definitions with out looking them up.
In the case of a sexual battery it means an intentional touching in a private area of the other party for some sexual gratification.
The assualt is the verbal threat to accomplish a sexual battery (touching) with an apparent actual ability to accomplish the threat.
