Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
being slandered by another over a crime
I was stationed in california in the Marines and I had consentual relationships with this female. A year and a half later she is telling people that I raped her and I would like to take her to court for slandering my name. Do I have a case?

Sure, as long as you are within the statute of limitations period. But, can you realistically expect to be able to collect any settlement or judgment in order to pay for the attorney fees and costs you will spend?? Or are you willing to pay them on principle? If so, feel free to contact me to discuss your expectations.
