Slander/endangerment of livelyhood
Is there a criminal charge that covers a private individual telling others that you are committing criminal acts in the coarse of you employment? What recoarse do you have towards someone who tells you employer and associates that you are embezelling funds from a business?

The actions you describe are not criminal, and your only remedy is a civil lawsuit for defamation. I can't say how strong your case might be based upon the limited information you have provided.

Your recorse is civil lawsuit for slander and related causes of action. IF, IF you can prove the statements are made, are false, and are harming you, then such case could be of value, IF the person has any assets to recover against. At the minimum, an attorney could write a threat letter that should stop the conduct and set the record straight. Contact me if interested in either option.
