Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I slapped my boyfriend 6 months ago. He never called the cops. We moved in together not long after that. I have recently tried to end our relationship and he is now threatening to report me for Domestic battery. What can I be charged with? I also have a prior charge from 5 years ago.

He's not going to be very credible if he is reporting something from 6 months earlier, and will just sound like a "wuss." ;) I wouldn't worry about it, with no evidence it happened, no injury, no timely report ... it will sound clearly like what it is - a petty and pathetic attempt at revenge. The DA (and police) are not dopes. I can't imagine any charges being filed under this type of circumstance. And if so, a good attorney will be able to beat them.
