Re: Stature of limitation on Failure to Appear

Once there is a Failure to Appear a bench warrant is issued. Warrants do not expire and sooner or later they catch up with the person they were issued against.

Running away hoping the problem will go away is not a good idea. You do not want to be pulled over one day and taken to jail because of the warrant for who knows how long.

It is best to seek advice and representation by a lawyer who possibly could resolve the whole matter without any arrests or jail time.

Hope this helps,

Re: Stature of limitation on Failure to Appear

There is no statute of limitations once a warrant has issued, which many courts do when there is an FTA. You need an attorney now!

No. Warrants are forever.
