Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Statute Of Lmiitations/Jurisdiction Child Rape

Hello.

I was doing community service work at Omaha's Food Bank and while on smoke break, the topic of a registered sex offender working at the place with children arose.

During the conversation which included the warehouse manager, a Food Bank paid employee of 20 years, he began bragging how he raped a 14 year old girl while in California.

The man is 50 years old and had sex with a 14 year old girl presumably while in the Marine Corp.

As the former victim of child abuse myself, I ABSOLUTELY HATE CHILD MOLESTERS! This manager claims he is of German descent and thus smarter than everyone else (master race idiot). He claims he was 18 when he had sex with the child in California.

What is the Statute of Limitations on statutory rape in California? The victim was of Native American descent and the German thus thinks she doesn't count.

Who should be notified?

Also, the registered sex offender at the Omaha Food Bank is working with mentally disabled children. The Nebraska Sex Offender Reg lists him as Level 3, HIGHLY LIKELY TO REOFFEND, and his conviction is for sexual assault of a child.

What can be done to protect these children when no one cares and the child molesters are in charge?

Thanks!

Re: Statute Of Lmiitations/Jurisdiction Child Rape

I'll take your concern as being made in good faith. As to the braggart, there is probably nothing to do, statutes have long since passed unless there is already an arrest warrant out for him. As to the registered offender, if you want to do something, it would be to report this to the police and prosecutor and

Child Protective Services in your area.
