You area going to be arraigned, at which time the only response you are to give is a plea of 'not guilty'. do NOT talk to police, court personnel or ANYONE about the case except with and through an attorney. Requesst a 'pre trial hearing' date, and take an attorney with you to that hearing. Listen to his advice once he learns all the facts and allegations against you. If you have no prior record, he may even be able to obtain a 'deal' that includes no conviction on your record.
If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be. Ive been doing these cases for many years.
As a Former Deputy District Attorney and a Former Judge Pro Tem, who has handled these matters for almost 30 years, I must tell you to call an attorney who specializes in criminal defense NOW. Go over all the facts, and let the expert direct you. Many attorneys offer FREE CONSULTATIONS, as does my firm. Call and, over the phone, I can ask you the questions I need to and you can go more in depth into the facts and I'm sure you will know how to proceed, once we speak.......David Wallin
