Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I need to sue someone for the loss of my belongings. my question is...if i have other legal issues(eg. bench warrant) could I be arrested for my other legal problems in the small claims court?

Probably not... I doubt they will check... Why not just take care of your warrants?

You could. It depends on whether the person you sue is aware of it, and lets the bailiff know. I know one sheriff's deputy in San Bernardino who was fond of finding outstanding warrants on people showing up in court that day. I guess it depends on how unlucky you are.
