summoned on disdemeanor charges

i recieved a letter from our super court s to appear on misdemeanor charges...i have to have my finger prints taken prior.. should i get a lawyer

Absolutely. You are not being invited to a party. You are being prosecuted in a system that has something called jail. In many instances if your are convicted and not a U.S citizen you can get deported. No offense but it is time to either get a public defender or hire yourself an attorney.

You should ALWAYS have a lawyer - especially if you are guilty. If you cannot afford one, you should be entitled to services by a public defender.

Depends upon whether you want a higher or lower risk of going to jail, and whether you're willing to pay for counsel to get that lower risk.
