You're being blackmailed. This sounds like a setup, but it might not be. It's possible that you really are dealing with the angry father of a teenaged girl, who just doesn't realize he's committing a crime. But what sort of father would offer not to report something like this in exchange for money?

Had you asked for the photos? When and how did you first hear that the girl is under-aged? What have you done with the photos since then? Has the father given you his name and contact info? How sure are you that the girl is real? Or that she's actually 16? Or that the photos are really of her?

I agree with Mr. Hoffman. You need to talk in person to a criminal defense attorney. You may be the victim of an extortion plot, or you may be facing criminal charges.

Sexting is a serious charge. There are many facts I don't know....How old are you....Did you send her pictures? Call me so I can ask the questions I need to. Also DO NOT SPEAK WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT or anyone about this case.......David Wallin. ( 661- 267-1313).

Hire an attorney and talk to absolutely no one else without his approval. You are dealing with extortion, a crime, that needs state or federal law enforcement to assist you. OR you may be facing criminal charges of your own if you initiated this exchange.

If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be. Ive been doing these cases for many years.
