Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I got a ticket for driving on a suspended license and had a warrant for not signing up for a DUI program. I went to jail but was release because it was my first offense. I went to the court date and was told i had to spend 10 days in jail. So I went to the jail but it was a day late and was told to go back to the court. I freaked out and haven't been up there. Its been almost 3 weeks and I am sure i have another warrant. How do i deal with this?

You 'deal' with it by turning yourself into the court on the warrant that has now been issued for your arrest, and then trying to persuade the judge to allow you to finish the time you were sentenced to, without adding additional time for your FTA, and without revoking the prior 'deal' and simply putting you in jail for 6 months as the statute allows. If this is in SoCal and you want to hire counsel to help you avoid more jail time, feel free to contact me.
