Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I have been treated for depression for 8-9 years and received a va pension for homeless but because of my depression panic attacks and paranoia I found work but was afraid I would get fires and I did and another job got layed I was collecting a monthly but you were required to notify if working and because of my mental issues did not. This was from 2009-2014. I was sent papers requesting me to verify or not the income they showed which is correct. What can I do

You need to pay the money (unemployment benefits?) back that you accepted. You will have to work out a payment plan and stick to it. If you are being prosecuted, these cases are taken very seriously, as it is grand theft. You may have to borrow money from a relative to pay back the money. Good luck.

You'll end up complying with the instructions, and you'll try to negotiate a settlement with them that allows payments on the money you owe.
