Re: Unclear on definition in Statutory Rape laws

There are a variety of sexual acts covered by various sections in the code. If you are being charged with such acts, the best advice you'll receive is to hire an attorney, you're going to need one. Prisons are full of people that were convinced they could 'handle it themselves'. If you're serious about defense, feel free to contact me if the case is in SoCal.

If you are the victim, or parents of a victim, file charges with the police and let them and the DA sort out the correct code sections they can file under. Cooperate with them, but I suggest you do so through counsel, who can assist with the police and DA, to convince them you are serious. Again, feel free to contact me if you want legal help in that, or in pursuing a civil case against the perpetrator. I've been doing criminal and civil litigation for over 30 years.
