Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Most Wanted

I have a friend that is in the ''Most Wanted'' list for a small offense. It's been over 10 years that it happened in Los Angeles, Ca. Can he still be arrested if caught and if so after clarifying it can he have his name out of that list? What should he do before traveling to the US?

Re: Most Wanted

He'll be taken off the list after he is arrested and the charges resolved with either conviction or acquittal. In the meantime, he will be arrested as soon as he comes in contact with any police or customs officers, like coming through an airport. By definition, he is on the 'most wanted' list for MAJOR crimes, not 'small'.

Re: Most Wanted

"Small offenses" don't get people onto any most wanted lists. Your friend is evidently a suspect in a major crime. If he travels to the U.S. he should expect to be arrested upon arrival.

Whether there is anything he can do about this will depend upon the specifics of his case. He should dicuss his situation in detail with a lawyer instead of getting advice from a website relayed through his friends.
