Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
warrant fines
i have a warrant for failure to pay fines and there is a bond set on the warrant. am i able to send a check to the court for the amount of the fines and be done with the matter or will there be more to it? is there a statute of limitations? the warrant is five years old. the warrant is from southern california.

The only way to 'clear' it is for you and/or your attorney to appear in court to negotiate a 'deal' on the warrant and what penalty the court will impose, usually fines. Then you can pay the total original and new fines, and the warrant will be recalled. Feel free to contact me if interested in doing so.
