Thank you for your question, and for the opportunity to both help and advise you further.

No attorney can promise or guarantee what is ultimately up to a judge, and the "chances of staying out of jail" for a probation violation is ultimately up to a judge. The chances of getting the warrant taken out of would be 100%, if you chose to get the warrant recalled, by showing up, with, or without, an attorney.

You didn't mention whether this was a felony or a misdemeanor matter, but typically, for misdemeanor matters, in many courts, the court would, at worst, set bail, when someone is taken into custody, so you could "stay out of jail" by posting bail and then resolving the other issues with the court as part of a probation violation.

I hope this helps, but if you have additional information, have other questions, or would like legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. It's my pleasure to help you in any way that I can, and thanks again.

None, without handling the underlying charges at the same time. Your attorney will be able to negotiate a 'deal' with the DA and court, at which time you will know what the bad news is. Feel free to contact me if interested in doing this right, if it is in SoCal.
