Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I will be driving a vehicle from san diego to vancouver canada. I am not the owner, I am simply delivering the vehicle. If something is on board the vehicle that was not obvious, am I legally responsible. This is a craigslist rideshare deal. I am delivering the vehicle to the registered owner in canada, then going bike touring.

Normally, you would not be criminally liable if you had no reason to believe there was something illegal in the vehicle or involved in the transaction. If you know the party you are getting the car from deals drugs or you saw that part of the car had been disassembled, you may be liable. Certainly the police would question you and the Canadian authorities would throw you out of Canada. If you are unsure, its not worth the risk and worry
