Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

discrimination

Can a food/drink establishment ''86'' you for speaking your mind? I told the owner of a place I didn't like the service so she told me never to come back. I asked if it was because of my race and she told me ''think what you want''. When I went back a month later I was embarrassingly thrown out in front of all of my friends with no explanation. I don't feel I am being treated fairly. Do you think I have a lawsuit I can pursue? I am very bothered, embarrassed and humiliated.

Re: discrimination

It's right there on the menu. "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."

Re: discrimination

If you think it was because of race, then what is your evidence? The burden of proof is yours. Was anything said about race, or is this simply about them reacting to your complaints? Without something specific to go on, there is no case. Contact me if there is.
