Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

I have learned that a coworker of mine has repeatedly made up lies about me to new employees, for example, "to beware of me, Im not to be trusted, and that Im evil" and so on. I know it can sound silly but after two years of this its really starting to bother me. I have gone to my supervisor about this employee's inappropriate, unprofessional and use of profanity towards me at least three times in the past two years but I have not seen any changes in this person's behavior.

What are my rights and what can I do on a legal basis?

You do not state any facts showing the comments are because of discrimination. You most likely remedy is to sue for defamation. You could sue in Small Claims Court to avoid the cost of an attorney. If she contnues, you can sue her again.
