Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California
non-allowance of members not of a particular religion/race/etc
what could be done if following a membership selection process for an organization, certain members changed the official transcript of newly accepted members to only include those of a particular religion?

It depends on the organization. Certain private organizations are not subject to anti-discrimination laws.

If it is a non-profit religious or charitable organization, it may be exempt from anti-discrimination laws. If it is any other form of organization, it probably is subject to those laws. An aggrieved party, excluded from membership, may have a lawsuit. If that is you, or if you are a board member, contact me if interested in pursuing and correcting this.
