Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

is slip and fall case now discriminationcase due to race, age, gender

My attorney doesn't seem to be doing anything effectively to win my case. What can I do at this time? I had surgery, knee, had numerous emergency room visits during recovery, and physical therapy documentations of complications, and I know for a fact that a round doorknob size stake was placed in the ground at smith and hawkings store but was on sidewalk instead of in the grass, and that''s when I feel over it as I exited the store after making a purchase. My now attorney seems to be letting this injustice evaporate into thin air and I feel helpless to do anything about it. It's sad that I feel that I'm involved in another unjustifiable situation with a lawyer who said that he would aggressively represent my interest, and he shows no interest at all. Please help me. Many thanks.

You can always hire and fire a lawyer.

By your zip code, you are in Laguna Niguel, where there are numerous attorneys, and, of course, many around Orange County.

I would get a second opinion ASAP.

If you aren't happy, even if your attorney were aggressively pursuing your case, get another opinion, and either fire your lawyer or discuss your feelings.

Good luck!

Whether your case has merit and can be won is a separate question determined by the facts and law. So is the question of its value and recovery potential. However, if you are dissatisfied with counsel, then go get a second opinion before making any decisions. It will be worth the cost to give you some peace of mind. You'll need to show the attorney all the court filings, correspondence, meds, and other documents to get an intelligent opinion. Feel free to contact if serious about doing so.
