The normal answer, and most people understand, is to consult with an employment law attorney for help in applying to the Calif [DFEH] or with the Federal EEOC if your situation falls within the guidelines of the various federal and state rules. Your lawyer can educate you as to the laws and the process of making a claim under your facts, including any lawsuit that might be possible.

You can consult, in confidence, with an experienced attorney, like someone here on this panel, to 'effectively' advise and represent you in this situation.
