Just knowing the charges isn't going to help. The only thing you can determine from the charges is what the potential maximum exposure is.

The facts, any defenses or issues in the case as well as what their attorney can do on their behalf will all factor into any sentence imposed.

The sentence could range anywhere from probation and no time in custody up to 6 years, 8 months (or more if there are sentencing enhancements for serious injuries inflicted).

Whoever this is needs a good criminal defense attorney.

What happens...?

Prosecution on multiple crimes with prison time potential, and loss of custody of children.

In California, if convicted of any felony, you potentially face one or more years in prison, plus fines; on any misdemeanor, you potentially face 6-12 months in jail, plus fines. Multiple counts and charges will multiply your problems.

You'll get your answers about what to expect when your attorney gets the formal Complaint and Charges at your arraignment. Once you have all the pleadings and police reports, then your attorney can determine if there are grounds for evidence suppression or other motions, or defenses to use in the case. Without knowing all those factors, any opinion would be pure speculation.

If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. I've been doing these cases for many years.
