accident

if ur driving you drank a little,your alcohol level is at 0.7 and your 21 and a car crashes in front of you, you both crash the driver was drunk and died,why do you get charged?

Because you crashed and caused injury or death while driving under the influence. You need a good criminal attorney. Feel free to contact me if serious about hiring one.

FYI: you'd better have good insurance coverage, because you face a serious wrongful death lawsuit, and a judgment against you for 'intentional tort' like this situation could be pled, is NOT dischargeable in bankruptcy. The facts you lay out are , in some ways, helpful but not despositive. For a conviction of vehicular manslaughter, you need only be A cause...not the only cause. Here the person's alcohol consimption may not have been a cause AT ALL. See a lawyer qualified in these types of cases. We have done many of them and they are very complicated. David Wallin
