Legal Question in DUI Law in California

Car Accident

In December 07, I was rear ened in my vehicle by a druck driver. At the time I was uninsured. The driver was in someone elses car who had insurance but claimed the car had been stolen the night prior. The Driver was arrested for DUI but not GTA and at the time of the accident he had keys to the vehicle. I continue to sleepless nights, and paying for a ruined car while the other car owner pays nothing? The drunk driver did a state program, was found guilty in municipal court and owes me 23K in damages but he has no assets or form of employment. Can I persue a claim against the registered owner and if so how?

Re: Car Accident

Can I persue a claim against the registered owner...?

Only if you can somehow prove he loaned the car. He said it was stolen, just so he wouldn't get sued. If you think you can, feel free to contact me.
