Legal Question in DUI Law in California

Car Loan Co-signer Culpability

I co-signed for a friend's car. He caused an accident at .08. His insurance says it won't pay any damages for his car, and a limit of $5000 for the other car. If that isn't enough, am I as co-signer at risk?

If you're on title, you're definitely 'at risk' as a registered owner up to $15,000.
