Legal Question in DUI Law in California

If you've been charged with more than 1 DUI and are clearly an alcoholic...in the state of CA, is something that the DMV can put on your drivers license that prohibits you from buying alcohol or entering an establishment such as a bar even if you're over 21? Like a donor stick that says "do not serve me booze"?

Not even multiple DUI convictions will affect your apparently inalienable right to drink. You could have a condition of probation or parole that says no alcohol consumption, or you could even be ordered to wear an alcohol-detecting bracelet, the fashion accessory that's in vogue among skanky Hollywood starlets. But once your probation or parole expires, as far as I'm aware you're free to resume drinking. Most habitual drunks get 86ed from local bars sooner or later, if that makes you feel any better. You could run your idea by MADD or your state senator or assemblyperson.

No. The courts will simply put you in jail, fine you, and suspend or revoke your license. DMV will also suspend or revoke your license, independently of the court.
