charged with possesion with meth
hi i got pulled over for a d.u.i but was
also charged with possession of meth.
will they sentence me to jail time? how
are charges like this handled in usual
case. it was my first offense,please send
me any details that my help..thank you

If you simply wander into court on your own, it's up to the DA to recommend sentencing and up to the judge what he imposes, both based upon how they feel about you. If you don't take it serious enough to hire counsel, why should they take you seriously? You risk them thinking you need jail time to get your attention. It depends largely on whether you obtain counsel, who the prosecutor is, who the judge is, and what county you are in. Some counties are tougher than others unfortunately.
