Legal Question in DUI Law in California

DUI on ATV

My boyfriend was in an accident on his ATV with his boss' 17 yr old son on the back, both were hurt. It happened at his Boss' house in a private community in N. CA. His BAC was .218 taken at the hospital. The cop stated he will be charged with a felony DUI due to a minor being involved. IT was at a business meeting so my BF is being treated by Worker's Comp. What is the chance of him being convicted? How liable is his company for serving the alcohol at the meeting? When will the police contact him? It happened 6 nights ago (7/29). Thanks.

Re: DUI on ATV

California drinking and driving prohibitions apply to activities on private land, public land, and all streets and highways. He will probably be charged with dui. The issue of damages for his injuries and the the passenger's injuries may well be shared by the employer. He should retain an attorney to represent him in regard to the dui immediately. He also should not make any further statements to the police, or any other party, without the advice of an attorney with criminal defense experience.
