Legal Question in DUI Law in California

please help

i was involved in an accident while driving my friends car. i was not at fault of the accident but was under the influence of alcohol and someone was hurt, what am i looking at?

I assume although you did not say that you were charged with VC 23153, a felony. While being DUI does not necessarily make you at fault for the accident, nor guilty of a felony for causing it, you need legal representation on the charges. Make sure you get a lawyer well in advance of your court date so the lawyer can be there with you on your first court date. Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have.

Jail time and being sued. If you or he has insurance, turn over the claim to the company[s]. Hire an attorney to defend you in the criminal charges. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me.
