Legal Question in DUI Law in California

What, exactly, is the law on underaged drinking in CA?

I am a twenty-year-old woman married to a twenty-one year-old man who is currently serving our country in Iraq. He will have the chance to come home for two weeks about one month before I turn twenty-one. Is it true that I am allowed to drink alcohol with him if we stay in our home, or, say, a hotel room, as long as I'm not the one buying it and neither of us will be driving or anything like this (in spite of the ''area'' this is listed under)?

We lawyers are not supposed to advise people on how to violate the law. You have to be 21 to legally consume alcoholic beverages, even in a private hotel room where there is virtually no chance of your getting caught unless you get really drunk and run out into the street wearing nothing but a lampshade.
